Time to tell my story.
I got to Target almost right after it opened. Everything was set up and all, but employees were still moving around and getting to their niches.
I immediately rushed to the Amiibo section. I'd been there yesterday just to be safe... nothing yesterday.
So today?
As I got there, I overheard people talking about Rosalina to an associate, asking him about it. It sounded to me like he said they only got four (and there were six people). I was seconds too late. Dejected, I stuck around just to make sure they didn't have any more. (Just to make sure they didn't even have any other Amiibo, I check the section while waiting... it's the exact same as it was yesterday.)
He finally comes back after like five minutes, and they get their four Amiibo. Then... miracle! He says he'll get more! I ask him if I can also get one. Yeah, sure. So I wait. And he comes back.
So everyone gets more. And I head to the cart they're all in and turn my head for one second to ask the associate a question (while mine is resting alone it it). Another guy comes out of nowhere and grabs it while the associate goes to the back to get the group even more. Twice, now, I've had it ripped away from me.
Fortunately, that didn't last. I let the new guy know that that was a mistake, and he was pretty cool about it- he said that if there weren't any more, I could have it back. He then suggested that I follow the associate to the back (two group members were going with him) to make sure I get mine, so I did. (The associate, once more, had been notified that I needed another, but I just wanted to be safe.)
At storage, he grabbed them and handed them to the group members. (As we were walking, though, I saw him repeatedly point me out to them- they were all a bit further ahead than I was. He was going to get me mine.) I, just arriving, confirmed with him that I wanted one as well, so he checked to see if he had any more.
One of the group members (holding three), right next to me, said that if they were out, he'd give me one of his.
This didn't need to happen- the associate had it. (He also gave others to the group members, but at this point I didn't care- I had what I came for.)
Before I left, I checked to make sure that they didn't have any other Wave 3 (they didn't, but he offered to see if they had any other Wave 1 or Wave 2 Amiibo. I already had them, so this wasn't needed).
In the end, not only did I get my Rosalina Amiibo, but my faith in humanity was restored.
Just goes to show that even if there are a few scares, the world does have some good people left.
Keep on Smashing, Ridleys. If you try hard enough, you will succeed.
(Oh, and if it's not obvious at this point, I've since surmised that the associate said four per person, not four total.)
